A Tradition for West Seattle Families

The West Seattle Children’s Parade has been a staple of West Seattle for 22 years and this year FIT4MOM West Seattle is spearheading the effort to keep this wonderful, family-friendly event thriving in our community. With close to 1,000 people in attendance, we would like to continue celebrating the 4th of July with this annual event for West Seattle families.

UPDATE:

We are THRILLED to announce that both Seattle Mayor Ed Murray and King County Executive Dow Constantine will be speaking briefly at the start of the Parade this year! Both of our city’s leaders have strong West Seattle roots and we are honored to have them a part of our special community event!

Additionally, once again FIT4MOM West Seattle and the West Seattle 4th of July Children’s Parade will be partnering with WestSide Baby as we strive to meet our goal of 10,000 diapers for local families in need! This is West Side Baby’s 16th annual Stuff the Bus campaign (Seattle’s largest Diaper Drive), presented by Homestead Bank and Les Schwab and we are thrilled to continue to support SUCH a wonderful organization and help fill such an important need.

In 2014, Red Tricycle featured our West Seattle parade in their national roundup of best 4th of July parades across the country!
Star Spangled Fun: The Country’s Best July Fourth Parades

Show up and you’re in the parade! Old fashioned gunny sack races and arts, crafts and activities presented by local businesses at Hamilton ViewPoint Park after the parade. This is the very best way to start your Fourth of July celebration!

Please consider donating to help us cover costs. All proceeds will help us take care of the permits, insurance and supplies we need to put on this amazing event. No donation is too small! 😉
